Neuropsychological Assessments

  • Clinical Neuropsychology assesses memory, attention, concentration, learning, problem solving and decision making.

     

    The assessments are particularly relevant to people who have been affected by cognitive changes as the result a head injury, stroke, excessive alcohol or drug use, epilepsy, and other conditions that may affect brain function.

     

    An assessment can take about 3 hours or more, but it may be divided into several sessions as it is condition dependent.

     

     

    A Neuropsychology Assessment can assess:

     

    - Thinking and personality changes after an accident (e.g. car accident, falls, sport concussions, etc)

     

    - Effects of alcohol and drugs on brain (e.g. memory loss, concentration difficulties)

     

    - Learning difficulties

     

    - Impact/Assist with diagnosis for dementia, effects of stroke and aneurysms

     

     

     

    The Assessment can make informed recommendations for:

    - Returning to driving

     

    - VISA applications

     

    - Returning to work

     

    - Returning to study

     

    - Changes in lifestyle and habits to adjust for brain injuries

     

    - Reports for insurance companies

     

    - Reports for Lawyers
